The Post Chicken & Beer is looking for a talented, driven and enthusiastic SOUS CHEF. Join our Team as we serve up our signature Fried Chicken and Craft Beer!

About The Post:  The Post brews beers that are gosh darn delicious, memorable, and something you will want to put in your mouth repeatedly. Our beers have been purposefully designed to pair perfectly with your meal. Our kitchen, run by Chef Brett Smith, serves you delicious comfort food cooked with the love of your grandma and the skill of passionately trained chefs that is meant to be shared like a family supper. Featured by Guy Fieri on Food Network’s Diners Drive-Ins & Dives, our bird is better than the rest—humanely raised, all natural chickens are brined for hours, dipped in buttermilk, seasoned with gluten-free flour, and then fried to crispy golden perfection, just like your grammy used to make.

What we expect:

  • Sous Chef reports directly to and collaborates with the Chef and General Manager
  • Knowledge and experience to contribute to the success of a busy kitchen.
  • Train, mentor and help lead our kitchen
  • Be accountable, do what you say, get it done.
  • Manage equipment and facilities.
  • Extreme passion around cooking and serving outstanding food every time without exception.
  • Highly pro appearance and attitude. Ready, willing and able to collaborate, work and learn in a team environment. No baggage, this is a drama free zone.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of two years in a food preparation position
  • Ability to handle the requirements of a chef's job which includes bending, reaching, standing for long periods of time and carrying and lifting heavy and really hot stuff!
  • ServSafe Manager Certification (we’ll train you!)
  • Integrity, intelligence, honesty and a willingness to learn, dig in, and be world famous.
